Ayate towels are naturally exfoliating and an excellent choice for people who prefer a medium to firm texture. Before using for the first time, soak the cloth in water and watch as the fibers swell and weave tightens. This will reduce the size of the washcloth slightly but will give it the texture it will have for the duration of its use.
Used regularly, these cloths can be expected to last for about 12-18 months. They can be used wet as a washcloth, or can be used in place of a brush for dry exfoliation.
These towels are made from sustainably harvested agave fiber from the Mezquital Valley and hand woven by women artisans. They are 100% natural and compostable at the end of its life.
